HE Mr. Abdul Aziz Mohammed Al Noaimi, Chairman of Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, The round talks between Qatar Civil Aviation Authority and German Civil Aviation Authority "Luftfahrt-Bundesamt” concluded on Wednesday 7th of July, 2010, the meeting took place in Doha between 6 –7 July, 2010.
The two parties agreed to:
• Amend some of their previous air transport agreement which had been signed in November 1996 as follows:-
• Increase the Number of weekly Flights to Qatar Airways to 5 German airports as from 21 flights to become 35 flights.
The agreement has been signed by HE Mr. Abdul Aziz Mohammed Al Noaimi, Chairman of Qatar Civil Aviation Authority and Mr./ Hartmut Spickemann, the Deputy Director General of the German Civil Aviation Authority (Luftfahrt-Bundesamt) at the Federal Ministry of Transport.
It worth mentioning that the update of this bilateral framework came through discussions which organized the air transport arrangements, would come in line with the policy of the Government of the state of Qatar adopts open skies policy with the various countries of the whole world to connect the Doha International Airport as an operational network with the international airports and to Update current Air Transport Agreements and conclude new agreements with brotherly and friendly countries and to provide a variety of options for travel in the air transport market as this new agreement would provide greater opportunities for operational national airlines in order to facilitate the movement of passengers and cargo and to boost the bilateral trade between state of Qatar and the Federal Republic of Germany.
