The CAA has published the third issue of its magazine "Qatar Sky"

10/7/2017.  The third issue of the CAA magazine "Qatar Sky" has been published, and it contains an exclusive dialogue with Mr. Alexandre de Juniac- IATA Director General and CEO.The interview covers several issues and concerns related to aviation sector including the sector’s contribution to the development of global economy, providing support to manufacturing sectors, challenges facing aviation at all levels of security, sustainability and possible solutions. Goniak also sheds light on the role of IATA and ICAO in the on-going efforts to achieve a secure and efficient global aviation system.This issue also includes activities and events conducted by the Civil Aviation Authority, which add value to the outstanding achievements of the authority, and the most significant of which was the initiative of the authority to attract Qatari high school students to join Qatar Aeronautical College, in particular Air Traffic Control field.There is shortage of Qatari cadres in this area of specialisation encouraging launch of the initiative which effectively promoted the profession through different media including social media under the theme of "would you like to become an air traffic controller".The promotion campaign contributed to introduction of the profession of air traffic control, its importance, advantages, privileges and its pivotal role in the aviation sector.The initiative received a great response and high demand among the students and their families and the authority received considerable The issue also includes quality and interesting topics about smartphone applications that serve the travel industry, on board meals, airline companies’ competition on uniforms of airhostess and crew members, as well as tourism, international travel and other topics.
